What a milestone!
This year will be the 25th challenge that WGS students have undertaken - something definitely worth celebrating!
We are inviting all who have been involved in this challenge over the years, OWs and parents alike, to join us for this reunion to celebrate the commitment WGS and its students have shown to raising funds for many charities over the years.
Dr Chris O’Brien, former Head of Maths is now our part-time Archivist and his knowledge and passion for the School’s history is really helping us to develop this important aspect of WGS. We will be creating a display from the photographs we have in our archives, but if you would like to share any photos you have please email them via development@wgs-sch.net so they can be included in the display.
We do hope you will be able to join us for this special reunion. We are also keen to show you what has changed since you left WGS and to share plans for the future too. The reunion promises to be full of fun and laughter, and not too much running!
The reunion is scheduled for Saturday 8 July 2023, from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. You will receive a welcome from Alex Frazer, 34th Head of WGS and get to meet this year's Coast 2 Coast team.
The ticket price is £15.00 per person and includes a commemorative book for each runner, a BBQ tea and a welcome drink. A cash bar will also be available.
We are aiming to produce some anniversary sports tops with all the names of the runners over the years featured within the number 25 on the reverse of the top. There will be a technical sports t-shirt and a ¼ zip training top with full-length sleeves available to purchase. Prices are currently estimated based on a minimum order but will give you an indicative price. Final price will be sent with a payment link ahead of the event.
