Balbir Singh Sidhu (OW 1976) sadly passed away on 4 January 2025, aged 66.
Balbir Singh Sidhu, Alumnus at Wolverhampton Grammar School between the years 1969 - 1976, passed away whilst on holiday in Dubai with his family on the 4th January 2025. Balbir studied Modern European Languages (German, French & Italian) at St John's College, Cambridge and also obtained a MA from Lancaster University in Business Analysis.
Balbir had a distinguished and successful career in Corporate banking, working at a number of organisations such as NatWest, Unicredito Italiano, DZ Bank and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, to name but a few.
He was a keen cricketer and racket sports player and had a passion for travelling, hiking and the arts. He was a devoted family man and philanthropist and will be sorely missed by his family and friends alike.
